General concepts of ventilation

General concepts of ventilation
22 September 2012 - 09:49 Views:2139
Ventilation is the exchange of air in a room to remove excess heat, moisture, harmful and other substances in order to ensure acceptable meteorological conditions and clean air in the serviced or working area.

As a result of the conducted research: each person constantly releases into the environment a large number of various substances (ammonia, volatile amino compounds, aldehydes, fatty acids, alcohols and hydrocarbons) and microorganisms, which can accumulate in various proportions and concentrations and have an adverse effect on other people working or living with him.

Unlike air conditioners, which are not considered essential, ventilation systems are installed in all residential and office buildings. Ventilation systems are so important that their technical requirements are legally binding and are specified in the Building Codes and Regulations (SNiP). This is because the lack of ventilation in enclosed spaces increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and other harmful substances. This negatively impacts people's well-being, causing headaches, drowsiness, and loss of productivity. This problem can be partially solved by periodically ventilating the room; however, this introduces dust, odors, and street noise along with fresh air. Furthermore, it requires constant opening and closing of windows or vents. Ventilation systems are designed to address all these issues.

Our organization successfully fulfills orders for the design, installation, modernization, repair, and commissioning of ventilation systems.

But the scientific and technical potential of ventilation remains far from fully explored. And this is not always due to limited funding, a shortage of specialists, or other seemingly objective circumstances.

In our opinion, the reasons for the halt in the development of ventilation as a science with elements of creativity (and this is precisely how we view ventilation) and the implementation of its best and most modern achievements in practice were:

1) The managerial conservatism of technical specialists of large design organizations and clients - for them, the main thing is to comply with the SNIP, which was written at the end of the last century (rewritten from the SNIP of the mid-century) for people who lived at the end of the last century and breathed the air of the last century. Naturally, ventilation in this case can be assembled from outdated materials using outdated technologies and solutions - the place for such ventilation is in a museum;

2) Contractors, fearful of losing a commission, follow the lead of clients and designers, churning out museum-quality exhibits. And they skimp on everything—on specialists, on materials, and, most importantly, on ideas!
We treat ventilation as a science in which discoveries will still be made in 1000 years, as one of the branches of medicine, as a way to save a person, as an interesting and responsible task.

Today, our organization actively offers services in the climate market for replacing outdated ventilation equipment with modern ones: supply units, central air conditioners, exhaust units, smoke ventilation elements, etc.
