Borner is a German manufacturer of kitchen graters, founded in 1956 in southwest Germany. The founder, Alfred Berner, began his business in a garage. By 1959, the company had already opened a small 100-square-meter facility with just 11 employees. At the time, inventor Alfred was manufacturing graters for shredding carrots and beets. A short time later, the company expanded, acquiring specialized plastic molding equipment. In 1966, the first V-shaped vegetable cutter appeared. The company later expanded and modernized.
