It's preferable to use chocolate with a high cocoa butter content, created specifically for use in fondue fountains. You can also use chocolate chips or chopped chocolate bars. You can dip strawberries, marshmallows, apple or citrus pieces, pastries, cookies, ice cream scoops—whatever your imagination suggests—into the chocolate.
