Description. Scotsman B 18 AS-M Ice Maker
Ice generators are made of stainless steel. They operate on environmentally friendly refrigerant R 134a. The ice level in them is maintained automatically; air cooling is used. B-series models are ideal for built-in installation under a bar counter thanks to full front access. However, when purchasing an ice maker, remember that the countertop height is typically 850-900 mm, meaning the unit installed under the bar counter should not exceed this height. Otherwise, you'll need to either order a higher countertop or choose a model with lower capacity. Scotsman ice makers operate on a simple principle. Clean drinking water enters a storage tank and, using a built-in pump, is sprayed through a series of nozzles onto the evaporator, where ice begins to accumulate. Once the ice fills the entire cooled form, defrosting occurs under the influence of hot refrigerant vapor. The resulting ice cubes fall into the storage bin. The ice maker's bin is always guaranteed to contain the correct amount of cubed ice for the specific model. Just a few scoops from the bin are enough for the system to switch to "freezing" mode. This system also makes it possible to easily replace injectors if necessary, which helps avoid the usual problems associated with the formation of limescale deposits on them during operation. Successful operation of ice generators doesn't require any special technical skills. The main thing is proper and professional installation. Installation involves a single-phase AC power connection, a connection to the water supply (with water pressure from 0.1 to 0.6 MPa), and a sewer line. It is recommended to operate the units within an ambient temperature range of +10 to +35°C and a supply water temperature of +3 to +25°C.
When using air-cooled machines, it is necessary to provide for an "air jacket" (approximately 70 mm in volume of the machine) for their installation to allow free air flow to the ice generator fan.
