Description. Excalibur 4948CDFB Black 9-Tray Food Dehydrator with Timer
A dehydrator (dryer) is a device for making dried fruits, vegetables, herbs, dried meat, and mushrooms at home. Excalibur dehydrators allow for the gentlest possible drying of food while preserving all the essential enzymes. During the drying process, natural food flavors tend to concentrate, giving dried and cured foods a sweeter and more pronounced flavor than fresh foods. Excalibur dehydrators gently dry foods to preserve beneficial nutrients that are typically destroyed during conventional cooking. During the dehydration process, warm air removes moisture from the product, the moist air is expelled through the front panel and replaced by dry air from the rear panel. Horizontal airflow ensures uniform drying, eliminating the need to rotate trays during dehydration. The Excalibur 4948CDFB Black electric food dehydrator features direct airflow to each tray and a large drying space. It's designed for drying large quantities of greens, vegetables, and fruits, preserving the maximum amount of vitamins and enzymes found in them. It's also suitable for making yogurt, raw bread, and proofing dough. The dehydrator consists of nine trays, each measuring 0.15 m².
