The modified version features a smaller catcher, making the machine more compact and easier to carry and transport. The main improvement is the addition of four wings on the nozzle head, which create a vortex flow. This flow causes the finished cotton candy to fly upward, making the cotton candy winding process very simple and convenient. Pros:

• low cost compared to imported devices, with good appearance and build quality;

Cons:

• The machine's head is inert—the initial startup takes 8-10 minutes. This might seem like a minor issue, but if there are no customers, the machine is left running idle. In this case, a compromise can be found: reduce the heating power to 30% using the temperature control, and then turn it up to maximum when a customer arrives. Then, instead of 8-10 minutes, it will only take a couple of minutes to obtain a serving, and the machine won't be operating at extreme temperatures.
• The lack of a bottom on the catcher allows sugar to fall both onto the device and onto the surface where it is installed. This design feature of the catcher is due to the fact that air must be supplied from below to propel the cotton fibers upward. This drawback is more than compensated for by the upward propagation of the cotton, allowing for the winding of even cotton figures.
• Performance depends on line voltage (when voltage drops below 200V, it takes longer to convert sugar into thread). In this case, a stabilizer rated for 1.5 kW or more may solve the problem.
