Plastaket Manufacturing was founded in 1950 in California. The company produced baskets for fruits and vegetables. Due to the high quality of its products and its understanding of the market, the company was asked to manufacture a juicer for a client. After studying the juice-making process and leveraging the engineering expertise of its employees, the first CHAMPION juicer was released in 1955.
